Squirrel from Mom's Gormet

Squirrel body parts
1/2 cup flour
2 Tablespoons Yellow Dog Sweet Shake
1/2 cup raisins dried
1/2 cup currents dried
1/2 cup cranberry's dried
1 cup port wine
1/2 bottle of Cabernet
Peanut oil for frying

Get properly dressed squirrel from a friend:-) rinse in cold water and pay dry. Place in a non reactive dish and marinate the squirrel in wine overnight.
Place flour and Yellow Dog Sweet Shake in a bag and dredge the squirrels. Heat peanut oil in. Frying pan and when it gets warm enough to fry, place the squirrels in and pan fry until golden brown. Remove squirrels and place them in a crock pot. Toss in the dried fruit and port wine. Scrap up any of the brown bits, flour and oil and pour that into the crockpot. Slow cook for a couple hours and you won't believe the flavor. Serve with wild rice or black rice!
